Interesting question: Alcohol consumption before having a blood test for serum creatinine should not affect the results.  

Depending on the amount of alcohol consumed, the glucose load may increase the serum glucose measurement.  If this is quite high, it may also increase the potassium measurement.

Well yes: But your renal function is compromised.  Ask your nephrologist.

Need more info: You may wish to repeat the tests, The elevation in liver enzymes may be due to a transient viral infection. If the levels are coming down, it may resolve. If the levels remain elevated, it would be prudent to consult a gastroenrologist.

Usually not.: In fact, between alcoholic gastritis and malnutrition, many alcoholics are anemic.

Accepted Answer

I don't believe: a precise answer to this is known. This blood marker used to track abstinence takes a long time to normalize. The rise in MCV is a direct result of the effect of alcohol on erythroblast/red blood cell development. The half--life of the abnormal RBCs is 40 days...40 days after abstinence half of the abnormal RBC population would be extinguished. Obviously, normalization would take even more time.

Many things: High uric acid can be caused when your body either produces too much uric acid or kidneys don't eliminate at a rapid rate.  Factors that can cause this are diuretics,  alcohol, genetics, hypothyroidism, obesity, psoriasis, p urine rich diet-organ meat, renal insufficiency, tumor lysine syndrome.  This is a broad differential but diet can be modified, and uric acid levels can be retested.

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, the level is not too high. Do not take acetaminophen. You may repeat the test in 3-6 months as it may be a transient issue.

Not with age: Tolerance for any drug increases as you take more of it. The reason why old alcoholics can drink more is because they have spent far too many years drinking too much. Tolerance is not a good thing. It forces you to drink more and more, causing more and more damage to your body in the process.

lft test came back "satisfactory"...still concerned due to excessive alcohol over the years.what are result levels ie. good, satisfactory, bad etc?

Normal LFT's: Normal lft's are just that, they are "normal". If your albumin, total protein level and protime are all normal, you have no evidence of liver disease. You can always due a liver scan to see the size of your liver, to make sure it is not small or enlarged, and this time you have no objective evidence that your liver is diseased.
