Home remedies: You can gargle w aloe vera juice a couple of times per day. A mix of chamomile tea w honey ; a small amt of lemon juice helps. For significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils / lymph nodes – see physician ; get a strep throat test ; culture. Antibiotics are imperative for strep throat.

Google it: Look up foods to be avoided in GERD and you will likely get what you want to know. Briefly: coffee/tea (even decaf), tomato, vinegar (pickled) , citrus, alcohol will be tops on the list. More importantly, avoid NSAIDs whenever possible and make sure you don't have a H pylori infection in the stomach.

Essentially none.: All foods are capable of becoming an allergen.  However, the most common foods to cause allergy are peanut, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, egg, milk, and soy.  But, avoiding them will not necessarily be any more effective than eating them regularly at preventing the development of allergy.  However, you must avoid any food that you have adverse reactions to.

Who's acidic?: If you're been to one of those fake internet sites that has you self-diagnose whether you are "acidic" or "alkaline", disabuse yourself of everything you've read there. If you simply have excess stomach acid, you'll need to figure out what makes it worse and focus on managing it -- your physician can help.

Any food is OK: The amount of acid that you might ingest at any one meal is meaningless. Your body produces much more than you produce, except in very rare cases (Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome. You may suffer from Gerd, wherein stomach content,  including HCL, rises into the mouth. Take a liquid antacid.

As a bariatric surgeon who looks at people that are successful at losing weight and more importantly keeping it off, concentrate on changing your eating habits. Reduce the sweets but don't fully eliminate. Increase vegetables and less fast food. Don't forget to include exercise regimen, any kind including walking.

Citric fruit: Consider citric fruit such as oranges, lemons, grapefruits if you want to increase acidic foods into your diet. Apples, blueberries, cherries, grapes, grapefruit, nectarines, peaches, pears, pineapple, plums, raspberries are also in the acidic range as are bananas and melons.
