Go to urgent care: If you truly haven't had a bowel movement for 2 weeks, I would advise you be seen by a physician sooner rather than later for workup and treatment. Please head to your nearest urgent care clinic or ER. I would recommend that you refrain from eating anything until you are seen to avoid making things worse.

frequent heartburn, during sleep at night, experience racing heart coupled with heart burn and nausea. symptoms subside after the urge of bowel movement and antacids. please assist, it's quite worrying?

GERD,racing heart: Although acid reflux is the more likely cause of your symptoms I recommend a cardiac checkup as well in view of the racing heart, nausea and urge for a BM in the middle of the night. In the meantime, avoid spicy &amp; oily foods, don't eat after supper, avoid alcohol,caffeine, aspirin,ibuprofen, naproxen. sleep with chest higher than abdomen,take famotidine or omeprazole each AM. Likely esoph inflame: Can be inflammation of esophagus, stomach. Could be related to alcohol intake, diet imbalance (fat, spicy, greasy, etc). Might try antacid, bland diet, no alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, mints. If symptom continues, or associated with vomiting, fever, bleeding, call md.

i open my bowel every day and i have itchy throat and dry cough for a month now. are they related? on omeprazole 20mg. no heart burn query reflux.

Maybe: Omeprazole can cause diarrhea. Dry cough and itching throat sound allergic. One can be allergic to anything, including omeprazole. Are you on an ACE-inhibitor (usually used for BP)? because those are typical symptoms they cause. Heart burn is the symptom reflux causes and you don't have it - because omeprazole is very good treatment for it!

i have constant heart burn, indigestion, bloatedness, a burn in my upper abdomen its almost chronic and lower side back pain, what could it be? should i be concerned

Doctor can evaluate: If it is reflux (heartburn), people can try antacids like Maalox, Mylanta, or Tums. There are also acid-blocking medications like Pepcid (famotidine). But, such symptoms may be other things instead of simple reflux. A patient could have esophagitis, H. pylori infection, malabsorption, heart or lung disease, anxiety, etc... It's best to have one's doctor evaluate and look at all possibilities.

will a hiatal hernia cause charlie horses in the upper left quadrant of the abdomen just under the rib cage? yes, i take medicine for heart burn which has gotten somewhat worse lately?

: Abdominal cramp is not commonly observed with hiatal hernia or reflux esophagitis.

Probably heartburn: Given the amount of alcohol you consume and the fact that you're on protonix (pantoprazole) already. See your doctor for further work up.

See a doc: Sound potentially a little concerning, though likely nothing worrisome but need to be sure it's not a partial colon obstruction, with bleeding see a doctor, have you stoll tested for blood, lab test to assure you are not anemic and if indicated may need a colonoscopy good luck and give me a follow up     .....
