Likely esoph inflame: Can be inflammation of esophagus, stomach. Could be related to alcohol intake, diet imbalance (fat, spicy, greasy, etc). Might try antacid, bland diet, no alcohol, tobacco, chocolate, mints. If symptom continues, or associated with vomiting, fever, bleeding, call md.

Still can have GERD: You still can have a gastroesophageal reflux, it can get worse with certain foods but you can have it even when eating a healthy diet, it is due to insufficiency of esophageal sphincter so eating healthy would not prevent it. Try Prilosec otc.
