Diet and exercise: You need to eat a well balanced diet with plenty of protein, but do not exceed 2000 calories per day.  you need to do a combination of aerobic ( jogging) and strength training ( weights) exercises.  To improve your abbs, you need to do sit ups/ crunches/ and other abdominal exercises that will tone your core muscles.  You can find these on the internet.

Calories burned must &gt; those consumed. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge &amp; “bicycling

Is possible: To lose approximately 12 lbs in 12 weeks, one needs to have a net loss of 1 pound per week. One pound is ~3500 calories.  
Using round numbers, a net loss of 500 calories per day would equal a loss of approx 1 lb per week.
 Would combine altering intake to leaner more healthful foods (decrease caloric intake) and start physical activity- moderate level 30-45 min/day (increase calorie loss).

Pilates: Pilates focuses on strengthening the core muscles, which are the abdominals. You should always any regimen under the guidance of an experienced trainer to avoid the risk of injuries.
Weight training is also a good option.
I would recommend both pilates and weight training and i can say from personal experience that they are effective.

It CAN: lead to premature labor and delivery. Depends on how high the AFI is and the cause of the elevated reading.

i have been working out for my abbs. the only thing that is hurting is my lower back why is that? isn't it suppose to be my abbs?am i doing it wrong?

Check your form: The abdominal muscles do wrap around to the back and if your form is not correct you can strain your back.  Get someone who knows what they are doing (trainer etc) to watch you.
