what are the disadvantages of circuit training?

Muscles suffer.: Circuit training is the "jack of all trades" of the exercise world.  You get aerobics and weight training, but not good versions of either.  Usually the efficacy of the weight training suffers.  Better to separate your cardio from your weight training; you'll benefit more from both that way.

whats the verdict to losing pure fat in the body? is it doing interval circuit training.. or eating right proportions? and what are good food to loes?

Accepted Answer

Unlikely: You can't lose "only fat". Whenever your calories-out is more than your calories-in, you'll lose some muscle mass. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something. You can limit muscle loss some by eating plenty of protein after exercise. The key to being really fit & looking & feeling good is finding a fitness activity that you enjoy. Best wishes.

are there any advantages of seeing a neuroendocrinologist over an endocrinologist or neurologist, and how is their training different?

Depends upon sympt: If you suffer vision loss secondary to pituitary gland problems, hopefully this has been addressed medically or surgically, but you will need hormonal maintenance, and most endocrinologists can handle this well.  Some of these docs focus in subspecialty areas, such as diabetes, and you can sort this out by inquiring from your internist as to the best fit for you.  Local medical society can help.

Unrelated: You are far enough removed from the surgery so that it should not be the cause of your fatigue. Best to see your doctor.

is shellac manicures safe during pregnancy. i also workout 5 days a week spinning weights circuit training. i have had 8 miscarriages and 2 live birth?

Avoid acrylic: fumes- can be dangerous to a pregnant woman and your pregnancy history places you at high risk for miscarriage.

i have been going to the gym for 12 weeks now. i'm circuit training, watching what i eat, and breastfeeding. no weight loss...any idea why?

Gaining muscle: If you are truly strength training: observing good technique, using muscles in full range of movement, exercising muscles to exhaustion, and increasing resistance accordingly, them you should be seeing a change in your body proportions. You should be experiencing an increase in you energy level and noticing a change in the way your clothes fit. These are more important than "weight loss.".

i'm fairly new to excercise, i'm overweight. i have been doing 30 min circuit training and noticed my heart rate stays at 179 to 182 during the whole workout. is that safe? i do get a bit nauseated at times during and dizzy. i have had a normal ecg?

: I would advise reducing the work load, keep the heart rate max at  less than 150 bpm and you should be free from significant symptoms.

Universal donor: The advantage is that you are a universal donor- which means you can donate your blood and the blood can be used and be given to people with different type of blood group. Which means you can do a lot of good karma. The disadvantage is that if you ever need packed red blood cell transfusion-you should only get a  type o blood, which unfortunately -is not very common.

O+ blood type: O+  can give blood to anyone who is in need of blood regardless of their blood type , but unfortunately the O+ person can get blood from only O positive , in an emergency situation if no O positive blood is available this person is at risk

i have to self catheterise using a size 16 would there be any advantage or disadvantage using a larger size catheter?

Accepted Answer

Comfort: A larger catheter is more likely to cause irritation as it goes in making it uncomfortable and increasing likelihood of side effects.  Discuss with your doctor what would be the best option for you.
