i'm wondering can the lower mandible be advanced without surgery?

Age dependent: Lower jaw growth can be enhanced in growing children, Tweens, and early teens.  Once growth has ceased, surgical intervention is required.  Functional jaw orthopedics does NOT work in non-growing adults.  Please see a qualified Orthodontic Specialist, and the Oral Surgeon on his/her cranio-facial team, for advice as to treatment to manage your malocclusion.  Remember, everyone's different.

For most people,: Lasik or one its variations is the best way to surgically correct the vision.   Discuss your options with an ophthalmologist.

No: We still don't have a cure for depression.  There have been studies looking at deep brain stimulation as a treatment, but results are mixed.  Antidepressants and therapy remain the primary interventions.  For more resistant cases, ECT and transcranial magnetic stimulation (tms) may be useful.

what is advanced mucoid degeneration of the acl?  does it require surgery?  thanks!

Not usually...: This diagnosis is usually quoted by a radiologist reading an MRI scan in a  degenerative knee. If the knee has arthritis that's significantly advanced, the ACL often looks degenerative. This is not symptomatic and does not require surgical intervention. Indications for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction includes instability and not a radiologist's interpretation of a single change on MRI.

Depends: Some people respond to euflexxa better. 3 shot series. That being said most viscosupplementation is similar in result. Cortisone every 3-4 months is an option possibly depending on your comorbidities. Heel wedges, good shoes, off loading braces and weight loss are other options.

tubulavillous adenoma was biopsied but not completely removed due to location. low grade dysplasia and 2cm. trying to figure out - advanced colonoscopy or surgery. as it is not malignant how quickly does it need to be removed? a couple of months?

: A couple of months is not likely to affect the outcome, but it would be prudent to get it removed.

Surgery: all surgeries care a risk. i know little about the laser spine institute. i would always recommend a second opinion

NO: When you need an aortobifemoral graft you need an aortobifemoral graft, period. When that is what you need, nothing else will give the long term patency. Lesser procedures have suboptimal flows and lesser 5 year patency rates.

STARR: Stapeled transanal rectal resection or starr procedure was introduced by the italian surgeon dr. Longo. It is a very good procedure when the indication is correct and when performed by a specialist. The recovery is much quicker and you would like it. Go for it!

Varies: I would not hesitate to be seen.  The vast majority of patients with disc herniation a do respond to nonoperative care, but a small percentage do require surgery, which in general is highly successful for the appropriate candidate.
