Rheumatic Fever: The reason why we test and treat strep throat is because a certain percentage can lead to rheumatic fever, an inflammatory disease that can affect the skin, brain, joints, and most importantly the heart. This dammage to the heart leads to congestive heart failure and early death. It was a major problem before the widespread use of penicillin in 60's.

Sxs & complications: Symptoms of sore throat can include: pain of throat; large, red tonsils with white exudates; small red dots on the roof of the mouth; swollen lymph nodes on the neck; fever, headache, rash, difficulty swallowing, feeling tired or rash. Complications can include infection of middle ear, sinuses, tonsils, skin, blood as well as scarlet fever, inflammation of the kidney & eventually rheumatic fever.

The same: I do not believe there is any significant difference in the side effect profile.  Could this be related to the pill / capsule getting stuck in the throat?  Maybe take with food?

Many: There are many: for radiation: - sore throat, problems breathing, swallowing difficulty, burned skin, dry mouth, change in voice. For chemotherapy: nausea, mucositis (severe sore throat). For surgery: immediate - pain with surgery - long term... Functional issues with swallowing. So there are numerous side effects... But treatment side effects out-weigh not treating a very treatable cancer.

Short list.: Side effects include decreased saliva production, throat irritation and soreness with some discomfort on swallowing. Possible hoarse voice from vocal cord inflammation. These are from an oncologist's point of view; for more information contact your radiation therapist.

No Anxiety: I haven't seen anxiety or heard of it with Singular. However you are taking other medications and it is impossible to know how they interact

Few side effects: Amoxil (amoxicillin) is usually well tolerated and the side effects are very few also. As with most antibiotics you could have diarrhea, stomach ache, vomiting and a rash . Hive like rashes should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Few: Usually there are few if any side efeects. You can get diarrhea, stomach ache, vomiting, headache or rash. Pretty safe antibiotic.
