does advair make some people cough?

Maybe...: Any inhaler can induce coughing. So, if this is a bothersome symptom, return to your doctor so the inhaler can be switched. You may find, though, if you continue to use it, the cough reaction may subside. If it doesn't or the cough is bothersome, see your doctor.

Cough: Some people have irritation in their throat from their inhaler and can cough immediately following its use. If you are using the advair diskus, (salmeterol and fluticasone) it is a more common problem as it is a powder inhaler. I think you need to have your doctor review your treatment but you should be fine on the long run with it, and rinse your mouth after you use it to avoid oral thrush.

Go back to MD: There are reasons for cough in people with asthma such as allergies, cold and postnasal drip which may be what you have, that is coughing more when you lay down. On the other hand uncontrolled asthma can cause cough, wheezing and sob. Bo back to your doctor for reevaluation as you may need other medicines and systemic steroid if needed.

could i have chronic bronchitis i have deep horse dry cough i tajes advair everyday doesn't seem to help the cough it worries me?

Multiple causes: First do you smoke, if so stop. If an albuterol inhaler helps, asthma could be present. Addition treatment may be needed. Pneumonia can cause a cough also reflux and some medications. You need to be reevaluated by you physician and if appropriate see an allergist or pulmonologist. Chronic bronchitis is unusual at your age unless you smoke.

can qvar and advair be taken together? currently taking qvar and also prescribed advair for two weeks to get wheezing and cough under control, is this safe to take both?

Can be: It is a common strategy to increase the dose of inhaled steroids and add beta-agonist to treat an exacerbation.  Be sure to contact the prescribing physician whenever you have questions such as this.  Any physician would welcome the phone call as an opportunity to clarify.  Feel better!

Advair Discus: I have prescribed Advair Diskus (salmeterol and fluticasone) for as long as it has been there including children and it is well tolerated and there is hardly anybody complained of gaging and cough.

Phlegm: Sounds like it could be your allergies. 70% of asthma is allergen-induced. You should get into your allergist for better control of your post-nasal drainage. Discuss Atrovent Nasal Spray with your doctor.

my chest hurts so babdly i'm on advair it doesn't help it hurts at the thoart area it feel swallow in and chest hurts with a dry cough feel  nauseous?

Throat pain: Seriously you have asthma and you are still smoking! and complaining of chest pain!
your throat pain is probably from post nasal drip. Which can also explain your nausea and dry cough. Use a saline nasal spray but you will probably need a prescription nasal spray and stop smoking!
