Swelling: Nothing else swells i assume..Hives and swelling can occur together and sometimes not at the same time. The steroid injection effect is no longer in your system after a month. If the problem continues, consult an allergist for proper diagnosis.

If : If using Prednisone for very short periods of time, less than 7 days, Prednisone does not need to be titrated.  For using Prednisone for longer periods of time, Prednisone still needs to be slowly titrated down and off.

Not much difference: The only difference in the two situations is that one is allergy to nsaid, the other is allergy to NSAID and other things too.

Not correct: You got hives because you were allergic to the medication. It has nothing to do with cox 1 inhibition.

Urticaria: Now it became chronic , most of the time it has no known reason, better see a dermatologist  / allergist, if you have access to one, keep taking the cetirizine, your doctor may ask for some blood tests to rule out a cause e.g. thyroid gland problem or could be no cause, good luck

Get evaluated by an allergy specialist who has expertise in mast cell activation, food $ drug allergy, hives, asthma.  Avoid known triggers until evaluation.  need epipen (epinephrine)?
