Steroids: You can sometimes treat phimosis with a steroid cream applied tot he foreskin. I use Betamethasone for my patients with phimosis that do not want a circumcision. The other option is surgery . However, i recommend you get checked bya  urologist. There is one condition which causes phimosis which can be dangerous. It is called balanitis xerotica obliterans (bxo) and that requires surgical treatment.

See ur Dr/Urologist: There is a  chance the tightening is due to a fungal infection or skin change that may be amenable to topical steroid and/or antifungal.
