Not for rosacea: In general, if you have rosacea you should avoid using an exfoliator, because it could be irritating!
Preferably, you should clean your skin gently with lukewarm water, wash with your fingers, and try to avoid harsh mechanical scrubbing. Non-soap cleansers with synthetic detergents (beauty bars, mild cleansing bars, many liquid facial cleansers) are better for your skin than traditional soap.

SD trial: I have read 50mg to 200mg. Subtherapeutic dosing is supposed to be effective due to the antiinflammatory effect of the tetracycline-type drugs without hopefully causing as much resistance and disruption of gut flora. Try for a few weeks to one month, if not allergic. Topical metronidazole and azelaic acid and laser therapy are also effective.

Consult with a doctor that treats rosacea with laser skin care to keep it controlled and shut down any superficial blood vessels which are dilating and keeping it red.
