Yes: Lots of things do this. Manage the acne. Stress is part of life. If topical benzoyl peroxide is not working, get with your physician who can add something.

how can i come off the pill without an extreme acne flare up? i've been on it for about 20 years purely for my skin and the last time i tried coming off it for 6 months and my skin got worse than it's ever been.

Acne: You will need a proper skin care regimen for acne management. There are creams/ointments that can help to control it and dermatologists can also prescribe oral medications to help you control it better. You will need to personally discuss it with a doctor to determine what your current preferences and future goals are. Take care.

i have noticed lately that my acne flared up more than usual and i cannot get it under control. the only changes in my life recently is a 38lb weight loss in the span of 5 months, could that be cause of my acne flare up?

Yes, absolutely.: When a young woman loses weight so quickly, it could cause her to temporarily stop ovulating.  Without ovulation there is a reduction in  oestrogen production by the ovaries, which may lead to worsening of acne. Certain contraceptive pills may help with this - ask your doctor about this as you will need a prescription.

Olive oil: EVOO - extra virgin olive oil from the first cold press method of processing is the very best but also the most expensive.

after a severe eczema/acne flare-up,there is now a small beige patch on my skin. is there any treatment to make it "disappear"?does it ever go away?

Eczema: Tough to tell without a picture of it, but with lots of eczema flareups, you can have what is called post inflammatory hypopigmentation to the skin.  Basically after a flareup where there is inflammation going on, it can heal with a lighter color skin tone to it.  Can take some time for that to improve and go back to normal.

i had a bad acne flare up, been taking doxy for a week and will continue for the rest of this week. i ovulate next week can we still try to conceive?

Not advisabel: It is never advisable to conceive when you are on any medication for a short term. Its safest to wait until you are off the medication at your next cycle.

Not really.: There is no topical cream that will work to prevent or remove facial capillaries.

Telangiectasia can be genetic or caused from trauma or even sun-damage.

Good start: These are both great meds but you probably want to use topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid as well, all the time, at least once a day. An antibiotic shouldn't be your only acne Rx.; the topicals remain your best friends. Your physician should be congratulated -- many of us don't know how helpful spironolactone often is. Some birth control pills can clear acne if they're right for you.

initially my derm prescribe tetracycline with prednisolone, acne flare up,now she prescibe minocycline and xepasone.i cannot take accutane.what next?

Accepted Answer

One idea: Have you been offered a trial or spironolactone?  I also trust that while you are using the meds listed, you're using a topical such as benzoyl peroxide.
