Minocycline: Minocycline can cause hyperpigmentatation of the skin. Acne can also get worse before it gets better. However, because of the hyperpigmentation I would strongly suggest that you return to your doctor or dermatologist for a different antibiotic usage

Side effects differ: Minocycline side effects can include headache and abdominal pain (stomachache), but should not be causing numbness in your fingers. Please contact the doctor prescribing the medication for further advice. Also, look at when the numbness occurs and keep track of that to help that doctor help you figure this out.

Hard to know: It's hard to know what a skin rash is without seeing it.  Please visit your primary care doctor or a dermatologist in person, so that they can give you a better idea of what you're dealing with.

Skin care routine: It sounds as if you need a good skin care routine to diminsh sebaceous gland activity and acne disease as well as exfoliate. Too much benzoyl peroxide is not good either and may dry out the skin contributing to your "dull" look.

Wouldn't be acne: Your 2 yo can easily have bumps on his face triggered by illness, reaction to food or something that came in contact. They do not get acne. Without seeing this and reviewing the kids history little can be offered as a reason. If it persists have it looked at.

I : I would follow up with your dermatologist to discuss other options if you don't see improvement (it can take 4 to 8 weeks for improvement).  There are other antibiotics and oral and topical medications that can help (depends on the type, location, severity of acne which might be most appropriate for you).
