i woke up this morning and my stomach & back was on fire, tried to eat but it made it worse. what should i do? i do have some acid reflux. i'm 17.

Exam and PPI: Certainly get a medical examination and evaluation. Over the counter Pepcid or Nexium (esomeprazole) in combination with an antacid may be moderately helpful; however, I certainly suggest a medical workup.

in the morning if i dont continuously sip water i feel physically ill. *almost* a nauseous/pukey/grumbly feeling in my stomach, but its not because im hungry. sipping water helps. is it just because my stomach is empty? maybe stomach acid related?

: Your morning symptoms may be caused by overnight dehydration or by what you ate, especially if it was late in the evening. Drinking water, flat cola or flat ginger ale usually relieves nausea.and can dilute stomach acid. If you could identify a trigger food, like oily or spicy, it would be a good clue. You could also take a medication like famotidine at bedtime which prevents acid reflux.

Yes.: Unless there is an obstruction in the esophagus, vomit will always contain stomach contents and therefore stomach acid.   Should taste pretty sour and corrosive.

Upper : Upper stomach pain can be caused by acid reflux from the stomach (gerd-gastroesophageal reflux disease), gastritis (irritation to the stomach lining), or even simple indigestion.  Pain on the right upper stomach can be caused by gallstones, which is more common in middle-aged women, usually radiates to the back, is worse about 30 minutes after eating, and often accompanied by nausea or vomiting.  Kidney pain can cause pain in the right upper abdomen but is usually more towards the back (flank area).   If pain is associated with vomiting, fever, or inability to eat then a medical evaluation is typically warranted.

i have acid reflux and woke up choking on stomach acid last night. i am still coughing this morning and my chest is soar should i see a doctor?

GERD: Often these symptoms are from Hydrochloric acid producing bacteria (H Pylori) that can cause reflux/acid stomach. First, eliminate acid foods, drinking alcohol, milk, spicy foods. You can trial with Zantac OTC or omeprazole 20 mg po q daily. If symptoms persist a blood test for H Pylori can be done and if positive usually an antibiotic/fungal regimen works.

i've had a low grade fever for three days and began throwing up stomach acid this morning about 3 times. what should i do?

Probably OTC: Over the counter Omeprazole may fix it. Take two pills daily. Check with your doc it Omeprazole does not do the job. Check with your doc immediately if temperature above 101.

can i take protonix (stomach acid) in the morning and propranolol (sinus arrhythmia) at night? is it safe?

: I would go to Drugs.com and see what you find about the interactions of them and any other meds u might be taking. Then discuss with your Dr.

Combo: Yes, some of the symptoms you describe may well be due to acid reflux, but vomiting of bile would be unusual unless there were more severe involvement.  You should be seen and fully evaluated by a gastroenterologist.  Make an appt and go. Good luck.

See your doctor: This is a problem that necessitates a face-to-face meeting with your doctor.  This will allow him/her to examine you, ask specific questions. And possibly order tests to find out what's wrong and what to do to help you.

went dr. yesterday tested h. pylori. said con't prilosec 2 months. can stomach aches morning below belly button be related to ulcer or acid reflux?

Probably not related: Pain from reflux or an ulcer is most typically felt in the upper abdomen near the rib cage or just behind the breastbone.  Pain in the lower abdomen below navel would be a very unusual place to feel it.  Hard to say what might be the cause however as details are few.  Best to mention this to your doctor.
