Infection : The only thing that causes pain in the ear lobe is an infection. As the ear lobe is just skin and connective tissue, mostly fat, there isn't much that can go wrong other than infection.

Clenching: First, you need to see an ENT specialist to find out if you have an ear infection.

Infection: you probably have an infection.  It needs to be evaluated and may need antibiotic treatment.  Don't put off getting medical care.  Untreated this can progress to cellulitis, a tissue infection that can be quite severe and spread across the face. See your doctor or Urgent Care tomorrow. Also make sure your tetanus shot is up to date.

See doctor: You likely get infection from piercing site.  At times, some people become allergic to the metal pin and ending up with swelling which however is more itchy than painful. Contact your doctor now before the infection gets deeper and nearly impossible to treat.
