Inflammation: It's possible that you have a chronic tendonitis that doesn't show up on the imaging you had. Did you try heat or cold applications, liniment, and nsaids like ibuprofen? Has an orthopedic surgeon been consulted or steroid injection been considered?

Contact: I would advise that you get a copy of the radiology MRI report and then call the Radiologist and ask him/her to explain the report to you.  Many physicians are willing to do this, otherwise, call the ordering physician and ask them to go over the images and/or report with you.

MRI: Not necessarily the may put you in feet first and then only as far as need be to get your knee viewed

Options: At your young age we would start treatment with antiinflammatories and therapy.  Then if not successful we would do an injection and if that didn't work perhaps surgery.

Some time post scope: This is a mechanical problem in the knee, & requires surgery.If a repair is done months. If excised, I have seen kids return in1-2 weeks, quarter backs earlier.
