Calm down: still no news is good news, why jump to conclusions, what you have is common, biopsies are other way of diagnosis, trust your care giver, and deal with the results accordingly, most of the time chronic inflammation is the case, I'll leave it for the pathologist and your doctor to explain, good luck

i had a cbc that was normal.  7 days later, start bactrim for lyme.  5 days thereafter, cbc shows mild anemia (low: rbc, hgb, hematocrit), with normal iron/ferritin.  low folate, normal mcv.  is this folate defic. anemia or bactrim: aplastic anemia?

Could be a problem: Red blood cells live about 3 months, which means there should not be a big drop in a previously normal person's blood count after just 12 days. That means 90% of a person's red blood cells present today, should still be present 12 days from now. A big drop in RBC's, Hgb, and Hct would mean a need to recheck the blood test and/or look for some cause of loss of existing red blood cells.

was told b12 384, mma .39 could cause tingling/numbness, weakness, fatigue, anxiety, polyuria. cbc and other labs normal, including lyme, b6.  tpo of 274. but normal tsh. calc. osmolality 266. what other tests would help determine cause of symptoms?

: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. It is difficult to make sense of the isolated laboratory values.

A lymph node: Biopsy...is probably your next step....it will "settle" your concerns.....A "needle" aspiration may be sufficient!

Tonsillectomy : If you consistently get tonsil infections and have a persistent sore throat for over three months with tonsil stones, you should certainly consider tonsillectomy. You meet the insurance criteria for removal and tonsils often harbor bacteria that can cause chronic bodily symptoms. While there’s no guarantee the tonsillectomy will cure all your problems, it should certainly help considerably.

T pallidum: Antibodies can be positive causing a test called fta-abs positive for life even though t pallium  was  treated successfully. Lymes disease test can sometimes can be false-positive. But if positive it is recommended to get treated by a course of the recommended antibiotic.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Minocycline can cause the lyme titers to fall as it treats the causative agent. Remember, that lyme titers can stay positive for months after the treatment is completed. This is often misinterpreted by doctors as continuing infection when it is not.
