Referred pain: The roots of your teeth are up against the floor of your sinus. If there is any inflammation in this location it will irritate the tooth root and make the tooth hurt. Some of these same nerves send branches to the surrounding gums and lips, and can then cause symptoms there as well. Hope this helps.

WOULD ADVISE: sinus decongestant which should put you back on the way to wellness. I think that if you consistently take the meds that you might feel better for a good portion of the time

The most common type of dental abscess is a tooth, and the second most common is a gum or combination of both tooth-gum abscess. In order to get appropriate treatment it is important to know the underlying cause for this infection. Rec.: see your dentist for evaluation, x-rays and treatment. Predictable treatment and outcome.

: A noninfected cyst would contain clear fluid while an infected cyst would contain pus.  On CT scan the cyst appears as a dark area as opposed to the bones which are bright.

Often unnecessary.: most maxillary sinus cysts are benign and are only found on routine xray examination.  They are usually mucous in origin and rarely is the removal recommended.  If recommended the procedure involves an incision in the muccobuccal fold area and an entry into the sinus is made with a drill.  The cyst is curetted-incision is closed.
Minor if any discomfort.  An office procedure.
