Yes: Do exercise your abs you do a lot of back muscle exercises.... Which can lead to back pain.  See your doctor or chiropractor.

No: This is not normal. If you had a colonoscopy and polyps were removed, it is possible you may have had a perforation of the colon. These symptoms could mimic back pain. You need to see the doctor who performed her colonoscopy. This is an urgent matter.

More info?: Have you had an US of your gallbladder?  Are there stones?  Is your pain related to eating or activity?  Is it worse before a BM or relieved after you have one?  Is this different than your "Gallbladder pain" or is it related?  Some GB pain may be felt not the left and in your back as you describe.  IF the US was negative consider a HIDA scan.  Endoscopy, CT may help.

Can be: You can do abdominal crunches,but keep your lower back on the ground. Don't sit up totally just lift your shoulders.

It varies a lot: Any persistent abdominal or back pain raises a question about Pancreatic Cancer in the middle aged folks. It does not have to spread outside of the pancreas in order to cause pain. I hope that answers your question. But a check up is a must if the pain lasts for more than 2 to 3 weeks.

You did not say what: Meds were ordered. Of they were like Ibuprofen or for muscle relaxation and you are feeling better it is probably safe to wait. If in doubt visit your gyn for a second opinion before an expensive test.

Pancreas scan: 37 M of unknown ethnicity, family Hx medical Hx notes had pancreas scan ok. Worried about upper and and back pain. Asks if CT REASSURING? ANS: yes but the dr who ordered it has moe information than I do to  make an assessment. Ask your team please.

Pain associated with ovulation . It is German for "middle pain" since it occurs midway through the menstrual cycle . The only curveball is that you also indicate you were having back pain. This is something you can discuss with your physician to clarify the diagnosis.
