my hgb a1c is 5.6 >standard range is 5.6, estimated average glucose is 114 mg/dl with a standard range of 85-126 mg/dl. is this cause for concern at all? i was 5.5 back in 2013, and have been up and down with it. thanks?

: Hemoglobin A1c of less than 5.7 as normal. There is nothing more to do now than check it yearly.

Individualized : There really isn't a way to quantify this in a meaningful way for you because of so much variability from one person to the next and within the same patients.  Pumping is a great alternative to multiple daily injections and can give patients even more control, particularly with basals and type of bolus deliveries. However, the pump is only as good as its user makes it.

Hb A1c: Unless you have anemia, especially hemolytic anemia, A1c is the best test to monitor glucose control.

Monitoring DM: Fasting glucose is blood glucose after 8 hours from last meal. Usually person checks glucose before eating, which is not necessarily 8 hours from the last meal, it is known as preprandial glucose and 2 hours after first bite of meal, postprandial blood sugar. Arithmetic mean of all glucose value is average glucose. HBA1C is percentage of hemoglobin in blood glycosalated due to high blood sugar.

please explain why.. if my estimated mean plasma glucose is 110.47 mg/dl from lab converts to a1c of 5.9% ..that doesn't seem to correlate. fasting 79?

Average of the day: Your fasting glucose is fine. Your blood glucose goes up after eating. The estimated mean plasma glucose takes into account the peaks in blood glucose after eating. 79 is the lowest. When averaged with higher, post-prandial levels you get an estimated reading that would be higher.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Lab numbers Fluctuat: The blood test number tend to fluctuate from one time to other. So I do not think your sugars or A1C are any worse now than they were in Jan 2016. As long as your Fasting blood sugar is staying under 100, you are safe. But in the meantime, continue your increased physical activity daily. That will keep you healthy. Recheck your sugar and A1c in 6 months from now and perhaps once yearly thereafter.

Not Prediabetic!: Your fingerstick and mean glucose are both normal.  Thanks for taking an interest in your health and keep up the good work!  5.7 to 6.4 is pre-diabetic range for a1c according to American Diabetes Association.

Is that so?: Glucose and A1c are fine. I would get a second opinion. This does not say "diabetes" to me. Food choices are not the key to managing diabetes in any case. Stay physically fit and get with another physician.

DM: Type 1 diabetes and Hashimoto's may coexist because both of them are autoimmune disorders. Your numbers don't suggest DM.

Good shape: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, nothing that you mentioned suggests that you have diabetes. You do not even have pre-diabetes.
