what food allergy causes a rash/hive only on the top of feet and hands?

None: Where the rash appears tells you nothing about food allergies. Hives can appear anywhere on the body. Eczema can appear anywhere as well but is more commonly seen in the elbow creases, behind the knees, at the wrists, ankles, tops of feet & hands, behind the ears, eyelids, & anywhere on the neck.

Contact dermatitis..: Maybe from something you wore or contacted. One blister is usually from heat/friction but many suggests a reaction to something

Angioedema!: Some people with stress release histamine in the skin.  When scratching occurs, red welts occur.  Try combining an over the counter drug like Claritin and zantac (ranitidine) (2x 75mg). I bet you get relief!

Avoid the food: The best current treatment for food allergies is avoiding that particular food.  After avoidance, antihistamines can decrease itching associated with food allergies.  The use of steroid creams or ointments may help, but should be monitored by a physician. An allergist can assist in identifying the specific food trigger.

Other issues: A generalized rash suggests a systemic exposure or issue like infection, disease, drug ingestion, etc.. Blood tests are not 100% accurate to exclude a food generated issue. A visit to a dermatologist may be needed to sort this out.
