Probably not: The possible causes are (most likely) chest wall muscles, pleurisy (usually with fever), and (least likely) pericarditis (an inflamed lining of the heart). Give it a couple of days - try not to take deep breaths, and see if it goes away. If not, you may wish to check with your family doc.  Hope you feel better!

The description is unclear if they meant "1st degree SA block", "2nd degree SA block, Type 1", "1st degree AV block", or "2nd degree AV block, Type 1".  Each are very different; if you can get specifics, then I can be more precise.

Unlikely heart: At 7 the pain would not be from the heart. Only the blood vessels have nerve endings for pain &amp; 7 yo don't have vessel disease. The location also includes chest wall, underlying skin &amp; deeper is the entrance to the stomach at the level of the heart. Stress/diet/acidic drinks &amp; consumption of sodas all can produce "heartburn" at any age. A brief trial of antacid may help.

Holter: There are several possibile mechanisms for this condition. Swallowing may alter the autonomic tone , as can digestion. Atrial distension can result in fast heart beat after meals. Most experts recommend a holter 24 hour monitor to document the type of rhythm. If atrial, ablation may cure the condition.

: Your symptoms are less likely due to hydrochlorothiazide (Hctz) but they should not be neglected. For sensitive people with an average dose of Hctz, low serum potassium (hypokalemia) may occur and symptoms may vary. Postural hypotension (low blood pressure) on standing is rare but still possible. I wonder how long have you taken Hctz but I think you should be checked when having sx with a new med
