Caffeine: Long term caffeine effects - depends on how much you are drinking. I would generally advise from not over consuming them. Chose other healthier sources of energy like healthy food, sleep and exercise!

PPIs: Long term effects of Omeprazole and other proton pump inhibitors are being studied ; more information gets to surface. Long term use causes damage to acid secreting cells in the stomach and some folks may end up having troubles with digesting food later in life. Also, there is an increased risk of intestinal infection such as clostridium difficile. Also, bone related side effects are being seen.

Not good: I have to admit I have used them occasionally, but I don't recommend them. Some are better than others, but they all have a lot of things in them that aren't very good for you and there is no quality control to guarantee they have exactly what it says on the label. Many of them have extremely high levels of caffeine.

Depends: Many of those drinks are high in sugar and caffeine, others are high in b vitamins.  I'd avoid the first set, but the sugar and caffeine-free ones really aren't that bad for you.  However, look at the ingredients closely as sometimes the chemicals are converted to things like caffeine.

I would say so: For the most part; any of these "attention getting" products are not very good {short or long term} for you as they usually contain an extreme amount of sugar.  If you find yourself having 'energy' problems make sure you start out the day with a healthy breakfast, drink plenty of water, and take a vitamin b complex supplement of your diet is poor.

Caffeine: If caffeine is one of the drugs tested for, the drug test could show it as positive.  The makers of five hour energy say it  "contains caffeine comparable to 12 ounces of the leading premium coffee" -- but do not specify the actual amount.

Not sure: I'm not sure what "matalic acid" is - you may have misspelled the word.

I'm not a big fan of five-hour energy drinks for this reason.  It's like slamming a cup of coffee.  There is a similar amount of caffeine in a 5-hour drink as a cup of coffee.  The difference is you do the 5-hour drink as a "shot", whereas you drink a cup over 20 minutes or so.

Can be: The suplement can raise blood presure and heart rate. Pts with history of hypertension and arrythmias shouldnt use this. Pts with history of coronary atrery disease shouldnt take this as well.

Best stimulant featu: In single dose studies, Vyvanse did not cause any long-term side effects even at 250mg.  Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) is a pro-drug.  The med you take is inactive and should have little or no effect on you until it gets into your blood.  Enzymes from red blood cells activate the med.  Prodrug levels peak around 90min and active levels peak by 6hrs. It's all gone from your body by 48hrs.

Sleep for life: Studies have shown that a healthy adult should get 7-9 hours sleep a night. Chronic sleep deprivation is associated with significant health issues such as early death, cardiovascular disease and hypertension. If the sleep deprivation is short-term due to work then this effect won't be as significant, but remember that concentration &amp; productivity is improved on a full night's sleep!
