You'll find out in: The next two weeks :-).  The baby and all the rest that you're carrying in the front puts some pressure on the veins  coming from your legs into the pelvis.  This causes a back pressure that results in the water retention found so often in pregnant women.  Elevate your feet as often as possible, and be patient.  Best of luck with the new baby.

No.: Betadine should be avoided in pregnancy because it can affect the maternal and fetal thyroid glands and cause complications from that. Do not use betadine pessaries in pregnancy!

Talk To Your Doctor: In the 3rd trimester all the babies organs have already been formed & exposure to the medication has gone on presumably since conception. Still, the decision is one you must make with the input of your doctor after you weigh all of the benefits, alternatives, & risks.

Flu &amp; pregnancy: Having the flu during pregnancy is very dangerous for you - pregnant women can become very sick. Be sure you have close follow-up with your doctor, check-in with them daily. Take the Tamiflu, and go to the hospital with any worsening symptoms or difficulty breathing. Your baby will be ok as long as you are ok, but you need to take very good care of yourself right now. It is 40 weeks from: The first day of your last period until your due date, the ideal time to deliver as shown by a large recent study is 39-40 weeks gestation, my advice to u is, do not go past your due date- not worth taking a chance something bad could happen to the baby, all of my patients are delivered by 40 weeks and they want to be !

Be patient :): Nothing guaranteed, but walking will help bring the baby down and might make contractions stronger. Sex is a tried and true way for many women due to prostaglandins in the semen than can induce labor. You can ask your obgyn to strip the membranes at your next visit.
