Drink water: Stay hydrated. Don't walk so much. Ask your husband to massage your lower back. Inform your OB doc of your situation. Speak to his nurse.

Third TM pregnancy: Cramps in the "third trimester" of pregnancy should be evaluated by your OB physician, as potential early labor, or a pelvic infection may cause the cramping.

33 wks pregnant sunday. dr. thinks i separated my pubic symphsis, pelvic pain and intense ovarian type pain, pain relief ideas?

Pubic symphysis : Bone pain is probably the worst pain. If you feel a grinding when walking the use of a walker may help. Utilization of a pregnancy belt may also help. There are medical supply stores that can fit you for one. Insurances do cover this. Seeing PT for some exercises both during and after pregnancy has also helped. Tylenol (acetaminophen) may also be taken.

Unless severe: or associated with bleeding, this pain is a normal result of your uterus expanding. If severe, go directly to ER and call your OB-GYN

See your OB: Whenever you are pregnant and have an acute change in how you are feeling, it is a good idea to check in with your obstetrician to be sure that it is nothing important. It may turn out not to be, but it is a good idea to check. Good luck.

Could be labor...: Since you are 36 wks which is very close to full-term now and labor can start at any time. If the cramping comes regularly and gets stronger with time, it is labor. Also, if you feel a gush of water coming down/out means your "water broke" and you should call your OB doc and head to the hospital. Consult doc. Congrats on pregnancy and good luck.

Yes: It is very normal to be feeling pelvic cramping, pain and pressure, and although it's more common to feel the back pain in the second half of the pregnancy, but it's definitely not uncommon to be experiencing it early on too. Best wishes!

Pain from pregnancy: The hormones of pregnancy cause the ligaments in back to relax and stretch with may lead to current back pain and sometimes future chronic lower back pain. The pregnant uterus, also known as the gravid uterus, also puts pressure on the back and pelvic area which can cause the current pelvic and  lowe back pain.

Not typical: As above, but as always, if pregnancy is a possibility, then do a pregnancy test
