: Plain spine X-ray can not detect fatty liver. The black image in plain X-ray is air pocket, likely the transverse colon.

Black spots that do not get better over time need to be checked by your PMD or an ent who can help rule out a melanoma.  Melanomas in the oral cavity are rare but do occur.
