Black spots: Black spots can be spots due to taste buds on the tongue that can get stained with smoking. Black spots that do not get better over time need to be checked by your PMD or an ent who can help rule out a melanoma. Melanomas in the oral cavity are rare but do occur. They usually occur on the mucosal surfaces in the mouth though. Good luck and feel better!
