See your doctor: Hi, what you are experiencing MAY be normal, but it also may not be. I would recommend seeing your OB or midwife to be examined. It is likely just normal discharge (which increases during pregnancy) but could also indicate an infection such as bacterial vaginosis, chlamydia, or other infections that can increase your risk of preterm birth. Best to get it checked out!

Discharge: By your description, this may be normal or possibly a yeast infection.  Many doctors prefer not to treat mild infections during pregnancy.  Please ask your OB to check your discharge since some causes of discharge do require treatment. Since you are pregnant, don't just treat it on your own.

? leukocytosis?: A white, milky discharge without an odor, itching or redness  could be leukocytosis.  This is vaginal secretions, dead white blood cells, sloughed tissue & can increase with pregnancy.  However, if there is an odor, your vulva is burning, itching, or painful, vulvar redness or burning or urgency with urination - please advise your doctor. I am not sure what tummy tensing is - talk to your md.

Probably normal: Pregnant women have increased discharge as pregnancy progresses.  If it itches or has a bad odor, you should be checked for an infection.  If its a gush of fluid, you should be checked to see if your membranes are ruptured.  If its a normal discharge, just increased in quantity, don't worry about it, its normal.  Best wishes!

Pregnant with blood: Any bloody or jelly like discharge when pregnant is a reason to see you OB.  If you do not have one go to the  ER right away.  This could be serious and if you feel you need to ask, then you need to make sure there is nothing to worry about by getting checked.

hi i'm 20 weeks pregnant and i wiped and there was a stringing jelly type thing with a thin dark brown streak on the tissue ????i went to the docs the other day with a pink tinge to my discharge. they checked inside all was ok

Old blood: the pink discharge is blood and as blood ages it goes from pink to red, to dark red to brown and then black.  If you're still sexually active you may spot or bleed lightly for 2-3 days afterwards and if you were examined in the office you may have the same effect.

Be seen tonight: Brown spotting at 20 weeks most of the time is nothing to worry about, but sometimes it is a signal of the cervix opening without labor.  Best to get it checked out.  Call your doctor and get seen tonight.

If no cramping now,: probably not miscarrying, if cramping and bleeding, possible miscarriage. Just spotting, light beeding, darker, could be from the placenta, or the cervix, bleeding with minimal harm to the fetus. See your doctor for exam and testing to be sure.

Normal?: Many patients have a 'normal' discharge during pregnancy that is not due to infection. If you have itching or burning, though, see your healthcare provider for evaluation and culture.
