Drugs: Both drug are given to maintain pregnancy especially if you have had a miscarriage before. Susten is Progesterone and Duphaston is a Progesterone derivative. It prepares the enometrium so that the fetus is maintained. Both are safe to take during pregnancy.

Avil or Advil (ibuprofen)?: Avila is pheniramine, an antihistamine. It isn't associated with birth defects and is safe to use during pregnancy. Advil, or ibuprofen, is a nsaid, and shouldn't be used during pregnancy.

Psyllium: Taking fiber capsules such as psyllium husks keeps the bowels moving while not entering the blood stream.  Fish oil is also very helpful and the dha component would be good for the baby's brain.

i am pregnant (1st trimester), have not been properly diagnosed. but do have some med training. best i can figure i suffer from an advanced stage (4) of fibro myalgia. i do not wish to take pharmaceutical drugs. how should i be treated?

: Make certain you blood potassium is normal. Patients with this due to primary aldosteronism and low K are often miss- diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Discuss with your Dr. Can also have high blood pressure problems during preg.  Discuss.

i am in 12 weeks pregnancy. these few days i feel cramp like diarrhea when i was sleeping at night! is it a problem to have this?

May be normal: It can be normal to feel some uterine cramping at times, which can feel like bowel pain ( episodes of diarrhea, constipation, gas pains).

Maybe: if baby is real cooperative and ultrasonographer is lucky you may be able to see, but that early it is hard.  It is easier to see at 16-22 weeks. Have fun seeing your baby.

Do you: Mean an ultrasound test?  You don't have to have an early scan but if available it is recommended to get good dating on the pregnancy.  Good luck.

WHAT DID YOUR OB SAY: If u are really 9 weeks and 4 days the ultrasound should have shown a htbeat ( u can see  ht beat by 6 1/2 - 7 weeks)  u have a missed ab- non viable pregnancy, if u have no sxs u could repeat the us in 1 week at the most to confirm but I am sure your OB had to already tell you all of this.

Wait: There is a higher degree of false readings at 12 weeks than 16-19 weeks for gender determination. Some sonographers state that they are able to correctly identify gender at this age but most tend to wait to give a definitive answer.
