Psyllium: Taking fiber capsules such as psyllium husks keeps the bowels moving while not entering the blood stream. Fish oil is also very helpful and the dha component would be good for the baby's brain.

Miralax/fiber: Those treatments that remain confined to the gut, like miralax, (polyethylene glycol) are fine during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Bowel stimulants and other meds that may enter your bloodstream should be cleared by your doc before use.
