Many possibilities: Most people get a headache at some time, such as from colds, infections, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Pregnant women usually try to avoid over-the-counter options like Tylenol (acetaminophen), but a bad or increasing headache (as in this case), recurrent headache, weird headache, or with other worrisome symptoms should be checked by one's Dr.

Yes...: What is "normal" about pregnancy is there really are no normals.  Every pregnancy is different.  Some women are sick the entire time; some never/rarely feel sick at all.  Yes, as you get towards the end of the first trimester, it is common for the nausea to decrease.  The cause of nausea during pregnancy isn't known; however, it is thought to be due to the huge increases in hormones.

Being Pregnant: Yes. It is not advisable, but it is not uncommon.  Perhaps in preparation for your next OB appointment you can read in your prenatal book ways to slow down weight gain and do a food diary to make sure you have not added unnecessary calories or sugars to your diet.

Need more info: It's hard to advise you based on just this information.  Are you having a lot of vomiting, or have you lost appetite?  16 pounds is a lot of weight to lose early in pregnancy and if this is due to excessive vomiting or lack of eating or drinking due to nausea, it could be of concern.  You should seek prenatal care and if you cannot keep anything down you should go to the hospital right away.
