In brief: No!

Acne-prone teens have thicker skin with small pores and increased skin oils.
As we age, the acne usually improves (or goes away) but the skin characteristics that caused the problems earlier now help reduce the aging process. Still, stay out of the sun, avoid alcohol and tobacco, and don't get fat! all will also help your skin age better than thin, dry skin abused by these things!

In brief: Yes

Acne can cause scarring and skin stains which are unattractive and makes you look less youthful.
The bumps take away the clean fresh look you would otherwise have. The oil glands are inflamed and as it goes with most inflammation it takes away from the youthful appearance. It can also cause enlarged pores which are also unattractive.
