Reduced pain sensitivity
Reduced sensitivity to pain is a symptom in which a person does not feel as much pain in response to painful stimuli (events that cause pain), compared to previously. It can be due to illness that causes damage to tiny nerves and capillary blood vessels, such as diabetes. Reduced sensitivity to pain is normal if a person is taking pain-relieving medication.
