What's multiple chemical sensitivity?

Considered fringe: The "pop" idea that certain individuals have fatigue and vague symptoms because they are exquisitely sensitive to a huge number of different artificial chemicals in the environment, and that they should be entitled to dictate that co-workers not wear perfume, etc., has found little scientific support. Allergies to individual chemicals -- natural or synthetic -- is probably underrecognized.
