Umbilical hernia repair
A surgical procedure where a defect (hole) in the abdominal wall at the belly button or umbilicus is closed. This can be accomplished with sutures, mesh, or both. The procedure can be done with general or local anesthesia, and the patient is usually discharged home the same day.
