Carpal tunnel release
Carpal tunnel syndrome (cts) is treated by releasing the transverse carpal ligament (tcl), surgically with an open, mini-open or endoscopic technique. Tcl relieves the pressure on the median nerve. Open surgery requires complete exposure of the tcl and carpal tunnel (ct). Mini-open surgery only partially exposes these structures. Endoscopic surgery uses a camera and a small incision to release tcl.
