Hyperuricemia
Hyperuricemia is a term describing excessive uric acid in the blood, typically as a result of kidney disease, high blood pressure, diuretic use, alcohol use, or obesity. Hyperuricemia can cause gout (where uric acid crystals cause arthritis in joints) or kidney damage.
