Arterial tortuosity is a condition in which an artery has become twisted (tortuous) and usually longer than normal, when compared to the size/shape of the same artery in normal average people. The elongation and tortuosity may or may not cause symptoms, but some disease conditions can cause elongated, tortuous arteries.
