Brown discharge: Abnormal discharge or bleeding is common on Depo-Provera provera (medroxyprogesterone). However, other causes should always be considered and checked for.

Could change : Your period timing could change as the effects of Progesterone can cause a disruption in your normal cycle. For some women their periods get really light and sometimes even go away completely on the depot Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot. Some women have more breakthrough bleeding (bleeding when it's not time for your period). But overall, you'll be fine if you get it before your period.

How can I start my period when I took the Depo-Provera shot?

Wait: Waiting for the DMPA shot to wear off is the only thing you can do. Some women do not start again right away, in fact in cases it may be many months before starting again. You may get more helpful information by consulting your doctor in person, good luck!
