A member asked:

I received a birth control shot on 06/26/13 when will be ineffective?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly 12 weeks: The depo-provera injection should be at least 99.9% effective for 12 weeks. After that the effectiveness will drop off. It is possible that ovulation may return as early 13 weeks after the injection, but for some patients it may be about 26 weeks.
