Medical History: If you are 50 years old, your medical history may push you one way or the other. If you are a smoker, have diabetes, hypertension or a history of a heart-attack or vein thrombosis or have other serious medical problems, you should not go on oral contraceptive pills. You might consider getting your tubes tied since no hormones are involved. Best wishes!
