Possible hernia: Swelling in the scrotum after/during a bowel movement may indicate a hernia with comes down into the scrotum when you strain to pass the stool. Since it isn't painful and resolves after the stool, you probably have a fair sized defect that isn't likely to catch the loop of bowel in the scrotum and cut off circulation to it (a strangulated hernia), but it should still be looked at by an md.

? hernia hydrocele: Swelling of the scrotum with increased abdominal pressure (like pressure needed to produce a bowel movement) is an inguinal hernia or hydrocele or varicocele until proven otherwise. Recommend formal review by a general surgeon.
