Why do they not retest you for chlamydia?

Not necessary: The treatment for chlamydia is virtually 100% effective. If you take the medication, you are cured. A retest is not needed. It is recommended to repeat the test after about 3 months. That is not testing for treatment failure but this is actually looking for reinfection.
