PID: Pid is a sexually transmitted disease usually caused by gonorrhea or chlamydia. If you have sex without penetration, you are still exposed to sperm and can get pid. Pelvic pain, discharge or a fever, or no symptoms can occur. It can damage to the fallopian tubes and cause infertility. If diagnosed early, treatment will reduce any risk for complications.
