Probably so: While Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone) can only be counted on for contraception for 12-13 weeks per dose, the side effects can take up to 17 months to wear off completely. You could experience sub-fertility and irregular bleeding. This does not mean you can count on this for contraception and need to be using something to prevent pregnancy and stds.
