A member asked:

Why can one partner have chlamydia and not the other?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infections spread: Chlamydia is an infectious organism and commonly spreads. It is not an absolute, but sexual contact likely causes the infection to spread from one partner to another. When one has it, although likely, the other does not necessarily have to have it. Each partner should be seen by a doctor.
