A member asked:

I've been told that after stopping oral contraceptives there's a chance i won't be able to get pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not true: Oral contraceptives (unlike the depot Provera (medroxyprogesterone) shot) are not associated with prolonged infertility. If you stop your oral contraceptive, you're just as likely to get pregnant or not get pregnant, as you would have been not taking any birth control pill. Again, the only birth control that has been associated with a delay in return to fertility is depot provera (medroxyprogesterone).
