Possibly: If one is not breast feeding it is possible that a period could return 26 days post-partum and one could get pregnant in the next cycle. Generally if one breast feeds completely that would not be the case and any bleeding would come from the placental site not being completely healed.

Hard to say: It can take up to 6 months to start your period. If you have been spotting since delivery then this is probably not your period.
