Inflammation: Any skin can become inflamed and develop small tears. Since you are not sexually active, i would ask if you masterbate or if you partner touches you. Stimulation using hands or instruments can cause small tears as well. If this continues you may need to be examined. Tell your doctor if you have never had a pelvic exam so they can talk and walk you through the exam to relieve some nervousness.
